ADOLPHE LE DHUY Nocturne Espagnol Brillant, Simples Melodies. Suvini Zerboni

Questa nuova raccolta dedicata al chitarrista francese Adolphe Le Dhuy racchiude due rare opere che l’artista concepì principalmente per scopi didattici. Il Nocturne brillant espagnol Op. 26, con dedica all’allievo Edouard de Zevallos, è un grazioso brano non particolarmente arduo che ha la particolarità della doppia scordatura della quinta e sesta corda nelle note sol e re. Questo artificio tecnico-compositivo lo troviamo raramente nella produzione dell’epoca. Tra coloro che utilizzarono questo espediente ci fu Fernando Sor, di cui Le Dhuy fu sicuramente amico e forse allievo. Per quanto riguarda la seconda opera inclusa in questa pubblicazione, le Simples mélodies Op. 33 sono una raccolta di brevissimi brani per principianti che, pur coprendo un ristretto vocabolario di tecniche e gesti chitarristici, offrono all’allievo alcune interessanti soluzioni armoniche.

This new collection dedicated to French guitarist Adolphe Le Dhuy contains two rare works that the artist conceived primarily for teaching purposes. The Nocturne brillant espagnol Op. 26, dedicated to his pupil Edouard de Zevallos, is a graceful piece that is not particularly arduous and has the peculiarity of the double scordatura of the fifth and sixth strings in the G and D notes. We rarely find this technical-compositional artifice in the pieces of the period. Among those who used this device was Fernando Sor, of whom Le Dhuy was certainly a friend and perhaps a pupil. As for the second work included in this publication, the Simples mélodies Op. 33 is a collection of very short pieces for beginners that, while covering a narrow vocabulary of guitar techniques and gestures, nevertheless offer some interesting harmonic choices.
